Daphne: “No Jack you called it right. He was not really a True Friend. I didn’t love Howard and I married him for his money. I did so love his money.”
Jack:“So you killed him.”
Daphne: “Why would I want him dead?”
Jack: “Don’t lie to me Daphne. He cheated on you with other women, I bet he was planning to leave you. That’s why you took out that life insurance policy on Howard, wasn’t it?”
Daphne: “A woman has got to protect her assets and Howard was an asset. But he’s no good to me dead.”
Jack Voiceover: [theme music soundtrack]
“No matter how long I questioned her, no matter how long I looked into her eyes, her story stayed the same. She hadn’t bumped off her husband and she hadn’t killed his mistress. She was like steel encased in a beautiful package.”

Judge: “For this heinous crime I sentence you to the electric chair.[Bang of the gavel] Take her away.” [Courtroom reaction sounds]
Jack Voiceover: [theme music soundtrack]
“So beautiful, so cold. A killer. I had the privilege of escorting her to her jail cell. No tears, no crying. Just ramrod straight.” [clang of jail cell door closing]
Daphne: low and intimate voice. “Are you happy now Jack? Now that you’ve proven to the world that you’re right?”
Jack: “No, no I am not happy. I just wish you hadn’t done it.”
