Now before Karen and I get squiffy, we better pull the Maltese Falcon in Red wine out from the oven.
[Sing in a sultry voice]“I pack heat like I’m an oven door.”
Now mash 1 tablespoon of butter with 1 and a half tablespoons of flour and stir into the stew. Cook for 10 more minutes in the oven.
[Start singing again ]
“I pack heat like I’m an oven doooooor.”
Karen:
You can serve the finished Cock a vine with rice, noodles or potatoes and another bottle of red wine with some good quality cheeses, fruit and port for dessert.
Rhonda:
And remember if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
