priority over our creative endeavor: personal relationships, work, illness, grad school, and the wonderful gift of a child being born into the family.
Through it all we have patiently and bravely persevered. We knew practically nothing when we began. We made lots of mistakes. We lost and accidentally deleted portions of our work. When that perfect sound effect wasn’t available, we experimented and created our own. And on more than one occasion we forgot to click on the record button or started recording over a previously completed track, and had to disappointingly start over again. Our mutual intention to spend quality time together in what we fondly refer to as ‘Studio B’ (my basement) gave birth to these podcasts and provided a nurturing environment where we developed an increasingly deeper level of trust helping us to push beyond the “Minnesota Nice” and a polite mother-daughter dynamic to create something we are proud to share with friends, family and future generations of exchange students.
We hope you enjoyed these stories as much as we enjoyed bringing them to life.
