This time it&#8217;s with my favorite birthday cake which has made several appearances in daily creates and other digital storytelling projects.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p3zfrO-Bi\">Gluten-Free Microwaved Chocolate Cherry Bundt Cake Recipe<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/rockylou22\/9498518792\/\">Made to look appetizing to a Klingon<\/a> for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/tdc.ds106.us\/tdc582\/\">DS106 Daily Create tdc582\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/4195SVvrSWs\">Time lapse video showing a transformation<\/a>\u00a0for <a href=\"http:\/\/tdc.ds106.us\/tdc626\/\">daily create TDC626<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This beauty had to make another repeat appearance since fellow DS106er Stephanie Jeske was unable to view the <a href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/4195SVvrSWs\">time lapse video of me frosting my cake<\/a>\u00a0a few weeks back. \u00a0I use a small section of ZZ Top&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Cherry Red<\/em>\u00a0as the sound track and\u00a0YouTube in Germany has blocked it because of copyrighted content. \u00a0I&#8217;m using an even longer section this time, but I&#8217;ve uploaded the video directly to my website, so no autobot is going to block it.<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE 11\/2\/13: Just discovered there&#8217;s a video assignment for this type of project <a href=\"http:\/\/assignments.ds106.us\/assignments\/activity-time-lapse\/\">VideoAssignments1024<\/a>. \u00a0Yay! It melted!<\/p><\/div>\n<p>When I returned from my massage, I removed the cake from the refrigerator and this is what it looked like. To my horror my beautiful cake had melted.\u00a0 I briefly thought about throwing it out and starting all over again. But I didn&#8217;t want to do all that work again. \u00a0It was my birthday and I wanted to play, enjoy myself, go get my hair done&#8230;.. Now that&#8217;s a different story. \u00a0They all laughed and dug in. No shame required.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The final GIF segment of the video clip was made with a series of still photos as I turned the cake slowly around in a circle. \u00a0For a first time effort, it&#8217;s not too bad. (Note to self&#8230; Next time have a marker of some sort on the counter top so I can line up the placement of the object from shot to shot.)
