pessimistically expecting friendless efficiency out of the strangers I met but time and again a bright smile has evoked an overflow of laughing and grateful personability. Did I traditionally fail to notice or has Ghana instilled in me a happy charisma never before harvested and employed?
Of course, the reaction of strangers to my return was never the largest concern in my mind. My greatest fear was fitting back into the lives of older, ingrained, friends and family. How would they see the change? Considering the paucity of letters I received during my time abroad, I was even questioning the continued existence of my old support system. However, I have again been mercifully wrong. The same charisma that regularly gains me an inroad through the face of cold professionalism, seems to shock and delight the people I know. Former friends and family have come flocking back, though admittedly I have had to take the initiative in arranging events.
