OBRUNI IN GHANA 5
Our sometimes hilarious production journey began August 2010 down in the Rockylou Productions ‘Studio B’, as we taught ourselves the art of home recording with GarageBand and what it took to be a Foley “artist” to enhance the narration with sound effects. I still giggle when I remember how my creativity got a little out-of-control during the ‘Amazing Grace’ segment in our first episode, Obruni: Take It Up, and Amber supportively reminded me... “Mom, we want them to say, ‘Please give us more.’ NOT, ‘Please make it stop!’”
In the fall of 2014 I acquired a new skill creating e- books. On Christmas day I surprised Amber by pulling together all of the work we had completed on our Obruni series over the last 4 years, and with great love and pride I presented her with this multimedia e-book.
I am eternally grateful for Amber’s suggestion to give the original podcast thing a go. The countless hours we’ve spent with one another co-creating in ‘Studio B’ (my basement) are something I will treasure for the remainder of my life.
Created With Love,
Rochelle Lockridge/Mom/Rockylou
