62 EPISODE 7: WHITE
Being white in this place is not easy. I am never myself, but a selective composite of all white actors, politicians, tourists, and story characters given the name oboroni. Some hate me because an oboroni child asked his mother in public “Where do they keep their tails?” A lot of people love me because oboroni came to teach them about God and gave them money.
“Ennye boroni a?” Aren’t you oboroni, they ask me.
“Meye nyimpa,” I answer. I am human.
